Looking for a way to get your team in sync? Try this!
I love team building activities that can be done with both large and small groups. Even better if they can be done outdoors or inside with minimal prep and very few materials.
Flip the Sheet is an outstanding team-builder that fits that criterion.
Before you read on, are you wondering why I’m sharing this? A few days ago, I dove deep into some fun changes, specifically new content, that I’m adding to this site. Click here in case you missed that post. There you’ll also find details about another one of my favorite team-builders: the Human Pretzel. You’ll for sure want to try that one!
Moving on… Flip the Sheet is an activity that will most definitely get your kids motivated to work together. I discovered it on several team-building sites (also known online as Flip the Tarp) so I can’t assign credit to its original creator. I wish I could! It’s just so fun. All you need to facilitate it is one large blanket, bedsheet, or tarp—and a bunch of kids!
I can see sports teams using this before or after practice to improve their team’s communication & creative problem-solving skills, increase rapport, and build trust in each other. It would also be a fantastic game to play in the classroom or during Scouts, Odyssey of the Mind, and Destination Imagination meetings. Kids love it and when you read all about it, you’ll understand why. Click the link below the image for instructions and educational details.
What do you think? Do you plan to try this one with your team? Let me know if you do. I’d love to hear how it goes!
