The Crimson Five series

5 Years for Flip the Silver Switch!

The years since my second book was published are flying by faster that the Crimson Five’s aero bus… the one that transports them to the Piedmont Challenge Global Championships in Quebec!

To celebrate, last night I started re-reading it. It’s kind of strange how the details and memories of writing this book came crashing back!

Sometimes people ask me which one of the three books is my favorite. I could never choose! But there are a few things I truly love about Flip the Silver Switch. One, it reveals SO MUCH about why certain characters are motivated to do what they do. It’s a twist that wasn’t part of the original draft but when it came to me, I knew it was perfect.

I also love the international games and complex friendships that are woven throughout the story. They add some fun and emotional layers that I think are unexpected. And I love the scene set in Quebec!

I’ve heard that writing a sequel is crazy difficult. But writing this book never felt like I was writing a sequel. It always felt like I was writing part of the original Crimson Five story. I hope if you read it, you think so too! 📚

I promised to highlight some hands-on spontaneous tasks this week and I will. But this milestone as an author felt too important not to share first. So let this post be a reminder to you. Dreams can come true if you have the determination to see them through!

And let the tag line of Flip the Silver Switch be a reminder to your team as well. It worked for the Crimson Five kids. It can absolutely work for yours too!

Have a great week! Until next time, be sure to keep your imagination swirling… Inspiration is bound to spark!
